Bryce Gibbs

Its a mystery whether Chris Judd will be playing in 2016 and you can bet if he's playing that he will be captain of the Blues. So i decided to choose the next captain of CFC, Bryce Gibbs, Now i am 99% sure this guy will be their captain after Judd. Gibbs was given a leadership role before he had even played a game, which almost assures us that he will be a man of one of a kind leadership ability. Carlton are in safe hands in the leadership, its only a question, Which one will win a premiership? the way this side is evolving.

Chris Yarran

Yaz had struggled to get a full season out before 2011, and with 23 games last year he was and will be the secret to the success in the future for Carlton. Yarran will go into the 2016 season as a 25 year old who add dearly to Carltons trademark run out of defence. He averaged over 5 rebound 50s last year which shows the cool head he has on his shoulders and the confidence in his ability. With the 6th pick in the 2008 draft he played in a powerful WA side and Swan Districts side where he was a frequent high performer, which shows how he will go in a gun Carlton side in the next decade.

Mitch Robinson

This man has the presence that only a few can give. When Robinson runs onto the feild he doesn't just give his side a hardnut or ballwinner but he is the spark of this side. His fiery attitude and willingness to win give this developing Blues side a kick and all of them follow his lead. Mitch Robinson is that player every premiership has, that player that can play foward,midfeild or defence when needed. Jack Riewoldt and him are the only players in the AFL that really offer that spark to a team any time they are in town.

Marc Murphy

A space on the wall is ready to go for this future Brownlow Medal winner in Marc Murphy. One of the 3 1st Picks in the draft that the navy Blues have is the man that will take over this legendary midfield as time goes on. The apprentice of the freak of nature Chris Judd is nothing short of his mentor. A ball winner and goalkicker, he is the drive of this Carlton side after the Chris Judd era and in 2016 he should have a Premiership medalion to go with that Charlie.

It will take some work to find a player that can play a role that this guy does week in week out, Oh Bryce Gibbs, dont worry. This guy is that old timer who is still ticking away after all these years of change that has evolved at Carlton. Often we see the stars on the adds and the first round picks, but this guy is somthing special. He goes about his business every week and opposition will be happy to see him go. Rarely does he put a foot wrong in a side which over the years have finished rock bottom on a number of occasions.

PREDICTON FOR 2016

If this outfit hasn't won a premiership by this stage its a living mystery. Carlton should still be premiership contenders around 2016 but 2018 and you think they will be missing their chance and go back into the cycle of the AFL. Hawthorn, Collingwood, West Coast will be challengers for the next 3- 4 years with Geelong maybe having 1 more year in them. The emergance of Richmond, Gold Coast and GWS will be contending around the 2016 to the turn of the decade you would think.
