Akermanis to the Gold Coast?
Syndicated on Thu, 22/07.2010The possibility of Jason Akermanis re-starting his career at the Gold Coast has sparked a betting market.
Akermanis - who was yesterday sensationally sacked by the Western Bulldogs - light-heartedly considered the idea this morning, saying he would be better for the club than NRL convert Karmichael Hunt.
“Tell (the club) I’m officially available. Don’t worry about Karmichael Hunt and these blokes for publicity, I can actually play!" he said on radio station MTR.
“I can go up there and have some fun, kick some goals and win some games.
“And there’ll be some handstands for the Suns, or whatever they’re called!â€
But some bookmakers are treating the move seriously.
