Baker to challenge ridiculous sentence

I'm therefore very pleased the Saints have chosen to appeal Baker's dozen and I think the other 15 clubs should see this as an opportunity to voice their displeasure with the flawed logic applied by the board.

St Kilda's Steven Baker will contest two of his four tribunal charges arising from the spiteful clash between the Cats and the Saints last Friday night.
Effectively, Baker hopes to reduce his 12-week suspension - the biggest for a player extending from a single match in 20 years - to five weeks. But he risks being banned for ten matches with his challenge.
Baker's case will be heard by the AFL Tribunal at 5.30pm tonight. He is challenging a level-three striking charge, which carries a three-match penalty, from the first quarter.
