Hypothetical Number 1:  Judd IN or OUT?

With the footy season coming to an end, I’m going to post a series of Hypothetical scenarios relating to AFL and would like to know what you would do in that situation.

Hypothetical Scenario 1:

Monday 11 October, Chris Judd has just announced he wants to leave Carlton in a surprise shock that rocks the footballing world. He does not think Carlton are going to be a real finals contender and wants to finish out his career with a premiership.  You’re the coach of your club....would you trade for Chris Judd  given his current performance? Chris Judd is a dual Brownlow medallist, one of the best players in the competition, a proven finals player and an out and out superstar.  

What I would do:

I’m a North Melbourne supporter and I would try and get Judd to the club to help mentor the young midfields, the likes of Cunnington, Bastinac, Ziebell, etc. . . If Judd was recruited to the club, it would let Brent Harvey loose to play where ever he wanted and not be tagged regularly. Apart from Carey, North haven’t had high profile players like Judd in a decade, so for marketing benefits and all the other off field stuff Judd’s presence at North Melbourne would be a real bonus. So I would try and get Judd to my club.
