Hypothetical Number 2:  Do a Presti or not?

This is part 2 the Hypothetical Series, if you have not read my earlier work,  I’m posting  a series of Hypothetical scenarios relating to AFL and would like to know what you would do in that situation.

Hypothetical Scenario 2:

You are about to play in your club’s first ever Grand Final and the night before the big one you feel a twinge in your hamstring. You have had a number of hamstring problems throughout your career and the team you’re facing in the Grand Final use their leg speed as a major weapon.

What do you do?

What I would do:

Do you do a Presti (as per the 2010 Grand Final), the responsible thing and tell the coach you’re not fit to play? Or do you not mention it at all and let it be in the hands of the footy gods?

I would do the responsible thing and tell the coach that I’m not 100% fit.

Footy is a team sport and if doing the hammy in the game jeopardises the chances of winning a premiership then it’s not worth the punt.  I would not want to have that hanging over my head for the rest of my career and letting down all the mates with whom I play .
