Moment of whimsy: The aftermath where Dennis Commetti and Dennis Commetti's hairpiece almost parted.

What St Kilda did right: Had their lesser lights play particular stoppage roles in the last quarter that released Hayes and Goddard to propel the Saints forward.

What St Kilda did wrong: Being forced to back-pedal for 2 and a half quarters without trying anything different. They would have done well to shove Goddard into the half-back line to drive the ball out with some purpose. Gwilt was the only guy who stood out in the doldrums.

What Collingwood did right: Tackled like wild animals in the first 10 minutes, setting the tempo for the remainder of the match. Kudos to Maxwell for stepping up with the rough stuff.

What Collingwood did wrong: Desperately needed a second target upfront to convert. Not to bag Cloke too much as he can take a mark, but he needs to go to finishing school.

How St Kilda will win this week: You do not kill a Magpie by ripping off their wings, you need to gut them. Go long and deep and don't keep on hitting the sides! (yes….. that's what she said

How Collingwood will win this week: Some fresh legs – perhaps two inclusions who can continue the rough stuff that rattled the Saints. Also the fear of facing Eddie McGuire after the match.  

This will be a mental game, which is tough for Collingwood supporters who cannot read or write, but they can draw!

And with that in mind, the Magpies will win by 20. Eddie McGuire to weep. Molly Meldrum (the Hunter S Thompson of our time) to lose the plot completely.
