Video - not for the squirmish

By Ollie Ward on Sat, 03/07.2010

Michael Barlow's amazing debut season is over courtesy of a broken leg. He has truely become a favourite of ours this year and we look forward to seeing him back out there in 2011.

I have no doubt we will be criticised for publishing this footage, but after a few weeks of watching soccer players rolling around on the ground with 'injuries,' seeing Mick get straight up on his feet with a horrifically broken leg reminded us of what sets our code apart. Barlow showed amazing courage and we wish him all the best on the road to recovery.

Leave your messages of support below and we'll pass them on via his manager Marty Pask.

Micky, you trully are an inspiration to us all. I know that you'll recover well and be back kicking goals in no time. Just time your time getting back, no one wants you to rush yourself.

That is terrible - pass on all our best wishes to Barlow. He is such a great player and a true 'hard working' talent.

Michael, as an Eagles fan, I can't really say I'm a fellow traveler with the Dockers. However, your form and consistent hard work has been an inspiration to everyone, and you've well and truly proven yourself to be a fantastic player from day one. The entire footy world's heart broke for you when you injured yourself, and your courage is commendable.

Get better soon, mate; footy fans the country over will be eager to see you up and running as soon as your health will allow.
