Cahill looking forward to life under Osieck

TIM Cahill says the Socceroos are embracing Holger Osieck's more enterprising game plan with the spearhead clearly relishing his German boss's decision to employ two strikers.
Former national coach Pim Verbeek came in for heavy criticism during this year's World Cup for playing a lone striker, with Cahill regularly cast in that role. Osieck showed his hand in his opening game in charge by playing Cahill and Scott McDonald up forward in Australia's 0-0 draw in the friendly against Switzerland at St Gallen on Friday.
And Cahill admitted to enjoying having company in the forward line. ''Yeah, to be honest to you,'' he said. ''I could probably say the same for Scotty and Brett [Holman]. You saw a lot of switching of play … and we tried to be very direct. Sure, sometimes we made mistakes, but overall I think everyone can be really happy.''
