After a few weekend's without a winner, we'll hopefully bring that to an end with this weekend's football treble. It features the pick of this weekend's matches, Sunday's game between Liverpool and Man City, which I can see ending in a share of the point. Elsewhere, in the Championship, a resurgent Bristol City can upset Championship leaders Southampton and expect Bury to heap more misery on Preston North End. Liverpool v Manchester City – Draw @ $3.40

The only team to hold Manchester City to a draw in the Premier League this season is Fulham but we are taking Kenny Dalglish’s Liverpool to do likewise and Liverpool v Man City should be the game of the weekend at Anfield. Liverpool are coming off a great win at Stamford Bridge last week whilst City looked a tired team when going down to Napoli in the Champions League in midweek and will need to bounce back if they are to maintain their great start to the Premier League season.

Home advantage is always a big deal in these types of fixtures and whilst we are not getting too carried away by tipping a Liverpool win; that shouldn't lose this match and they can register their third home draw on the bounce.

Bristol City v Southampton – Home Win @ $4.40

There will be plenty who disagree with this prediction but before they do, they should take a look at the form of Bristol City since Derek McInnes took over as manager last month. In that time the Robins have won three of their last four matches and earned an away draw with promotion chasing West Ham.

It is true that the Southampton have looked a class act all season and fully deserve to be favourites to win at Ashton Gate as their position at the top of the Championship table suggests, but they have been beaten a couple of times on their travels this term and are overdue a setback. City can bag the three points and are great odds to do so.

Bury v Preston – Home Win @ $2.40

The odds of a Bury home win are somewhat surprising as it appears that Preston couldn’t win a game even if they were gifted one. The only wins Phil Brown’s men have enjoyed since the beginning of October were Johnson Paint Trophy victories over Morecombe and Rochdale and they were both via the penalty shoot-outs after draws in 90 minutes. Moreover, they have since lost to Rochdale in the league, which was their seventh defeat in their last eight league games.

Bury on the other hand have won their last two league games, both away from home and although their home form is far from brilliant, they will certainly be the more confident of the two Lancashire sides. A close game is likely but one that Bury should be capable of winning.
