Why Milan Jovanovic is going to be a hit at Liverpool
By Jarrod Kurpiel on Fri, 09/07.2010Liverpool's newest signing, Milan Jovanovic, is going to be a hit at Anfield and also the EPL.
In his years at Standard Liege, he proved to be a smash scoring and setting up goals using his blistering pace, winning Belgian's Golden Shoe with his quality finishing skills.
For Serbia in this year's World Cup, he terrorised defences and although only scoring the one goal (against Germany), he set up quite a few good chances. This is the player that Liverpool has been crying out for, a quality finisher who can add to Liverpool's attack, can play up front as a striker or in the midfield as a winger.
He turned down several clubs before joining the Reds - including Spanish giants Real Madrid and Italian powerhouses Juventus and AC Milan - all play in front of the world famous Kop.
His game style will suit the Premier League and will bolster Liverpool's title aspirations. Many think he will adapt to the EPL and Liverpool's game style quite quickly. With a new manager at the helm in Roy Hodgson, the club could totally revamp it's style and tactics.
Jovanovic is the ideal replacement for former winger Yossi Benayoun who left for Premier League rivals Chelsea for a fee of 5 million pounds.
So I'll welcome Jovanovic with open arms and no doubt Roy Hodgson will too.
Will you?

Not a bad piece, though, I am not going to welcome him with open arms, if he was at Newcastle united I'd have gladly. But good luck to him, I hope he works out for Liverpool.
