Kaymer clinches PGA Championship

Germany's Martin Kaymer has won a dramatic USPGA Championship, defeating American Bubba Watson in a play-off at Whistling Straits.

The pair went into the last of a three-hole play-off level before Watson crucially found water with his second shot.

As a result Kaymer played it safe, laying up with his second shot in a precarious position before finding the green.

Watson nearly holed his fifth shot from the bunker to keep things interesting but Kaymer calmly two-putted to win by a stroke.

The 25-year-old Kaymer becomes the sixth player in the last seven majors to break through for their first major victory.

He also becomes the first German to win the tournament - the last major of the season.
