Terms and Conditions to payments:

2. Views are deemed ‘unique views’with the first 72 hours of publication;
3. Management reserves the right to review the bounce rate of articles and if management believe fraudulent acts are in play the writer will not be paid;
4. Our accounts team will request from you your bank details for a wire transfer at the conclusion of every month;
5. A paid writer must complete at least 2 articles per month to be eligible to be paid.
6. Only articles deemed a 'featured article' are eligble to win 'thebigtip award'.
7. An article must be atleast 300 words to be considered a featured article.

Tips on How to Get More Readers
1. Promote YOUR WORK!
Writer and article rankings on TBT are based largely on audience response. The more readers you draw and the more fans you attract, the more prominently your writing will be featured on the network.
The practical implication here is that you’d do well to promote yourself however you can. And don’t be shy about it. Tell your friends about your articles. Get them to add you as a Favorite Writer. If you know a fan site that posts referral links, submit your work for consideration—anything you can do to get your name out there.
There’s no substitute for exposure is the point—by any means necessary. All’s fair in love and cyberspace. The only thing holding you back is your own ingenuity.

2. You need a HOOK.
No writer is guaranteed an audience, especially on the Internet.
Web readers are notoriously prone to Attention Deficit Disorder. If you’re going to build a fan base, you have to give people a reason to stick around.
What does that mean? In a practical sense, it means you’ve got to write with a purpose. Readers are engaged by writers who make pointed arguments and clear presentations. There’s a reason you sat down to write your article—it’s your job to make that reason resonate in the text.
Ask yourself this question whenever you submit a piece: Would I want to read this if I hadn’t written it?
If the answer is no, you may be in trouble. If the answer is yes, you’re off to a good start.
