Andy Murray was looking in hot form in the late part of the season but finally his 17-game winning streak came to an end. The Scot will now be looking to bounce back and end his campaign on a high at the ATP World Tour finals.

The 24-year-old has enjoyed some great fortunes since the US Open and won three successive tournaments in Asia, to take his tally to five titles for the year.

Murray, who is bidding to finish the season as world number three for the first time in his career, had gone into the Paris Masters struggling with a muscle injury, but he had looked to be getting back to near his best. Anyone placing a ATP Finals London bet should remember this.

However the British number one finally lost his unbeaten streak when going out of in Paris in the quarter-finals to Tomas Berdych, who himself has also qualified for the ATP World Tour finals in London.

Murray may boast a 56-12 record for the entire 2011 season but yet another has gone by without him breaking his Grand Slam duck. Winning the ATP World Tour finals in front of a home support and cementing his world number three ranking would represent a fantastic finish to the season.

The Scot still has niggling concerns however and admits it did not feel "all that comfortable" with his serve throughout the entire Paris Masters, which does not bode well with the O2 finals on the horizon. Those who bet on tennis should bear this in mind.

"I got good practice going into London, which I didn't have coming in here," said Murray. 

"I'll need to work on a few things. I was moving much better than I did in my first match by the end of this one."

World number one Novak Djokovic is looking to cap an amazing season by winning the ATP World Tour finals for a second time, but the Serb is struggling with a shoulder injury that forced him to pull out in Paris.
